Alan Geoffrion

Alan Geoffrion (Screenwriter) is of Australian and French Canadian extraction. He was born in New York City and educated at the University of Tennessee, where he majored in English, though per Geoffrion, his real education took place serving in the Merchant Marine and the U.S. Navy. He did two tours of duty in Vietnam.

Geoffrion spent a number of years in the publishing business. He was encouraged to write for a long time, but didn’t feel comfortable with it until four or five years ago. He is currently writing the novelization of Broken Trail, as well as working on several other scripts, a western, a contemporary thriller and a story set in Africa.

Geoffrion divides his time between New Mexico, Africa and his home in the Blue Ridge foothills of Virginia.
